About

Hello my name is Natalie and I am Natalie Davis Massage. I work in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

I qualified in Holistic Massage in 2014 and since then I have enjoyed studying and practising in Mexico, Thailand and the UK. I feel truly grateful to have found an occupation that I feel so passionate about and I love to practise.  I work with clients of all ages from 16 to 75. Every client is unique, all using their bodies in different ways, all with their own history and future.

Massage works on different levels depending on your goals and it is impossible to separate the physical from the psychological. The industry offers a wealth of techniques and practises but in the UK massage tends to be itemised as a luxury indulgence associated with spa weekends.

Massage and bodywork, for me, go far beyond this idea. For me, bodywork is one of the pillars of health and regular massage therapy supports a healthy, grounded person. I offer treatment packages and encourage massage as a regular part of a balanced lifestyle.

Whether you are an artist, a teacher, a parent, a trades-person, an athlete, a student, or anything in-between, every body can benefit from the care of a massage therapist. I encourage everyone to try some kind of body work. My own journey began when I was introduced to Shiastu Massage at the age of 21. My first treatment changed my life and I have received regular Shiatsu and other massage ever since.

We only have one body and we often take it for granted and feel frustrated when it ceases to perform at its best.  I hope I can prompt you to consider your own body and its brilliance and needs. When thinking about our own mind and body, the best motto is simply, "be kind".

My aim is to bring massage to a wide audience so everyone can feel the benefits, as well as taking home self-care tools for continued support. I use the line ‘intelligent bodywork’ as I am often researching, reading, training to expand my knowledge, to interpret the emotional and physiological elements of our beings. My most recent training has been in Chi Neitsang abdominal massage in northern Thailand in February 2024. I am enthusiastic and fascinated by the role of abdominal massage for the maintenance of overall health. The gut has been coined as a second brain and there is a lot to be gained from massage over this powerful region.

While massage offers real benefits after just one session, for clients seeking resolutions to chronic problems I usually suggest a course of treatment, rather than a one-off. This will vary for every individual but for example, for sustained results it may be necessary to embark on a 6-week course of treatment. This is something we can discuss together.

My specialism and training is in holistic massage. If I feel that you may benefit more from a different kind of bodywork or treatment I might suggest referral to a doctor or other bodywork specialist. If you are under consultant care, it is always advisable that you inform them if you are planning to start massage treatments. I am happy to provide a letter detailing my training and the treatment I will provide so as to work collaboratively to achieve your goals.
